early adulthood part II

This cannot be as detailed as part I. after the Navy, my daughter’s mom and I headed back to Wisconsin, where she is from, and rented a mobile home from my in-laws outside of Fort Atkinson, in the Lake Koshkonong area. I worked for cash on a small dairy farm, which I thoroughly enjoyed because I woke early, worked early, and had time to pick up my daughter from school and spend time with her. About a year later (or less) we had the opportunity to buy land and a mobile home on a loan, or land contract, in Fairmount, right across the street from the house I spent the summers in as a child, which an uncle of mine occupied. the navy had provided me the financial means to go to school so I attended ivy tech community college in Marion and majored in computer networking on the consultation of my educational adviser, and minored in my true interest, computer programming. i worked part time at Thompson electronics (RCA), full time (or it seemed like) at the local newspaper company, and went to school full time. later I worked at Walmart part time, then full time, then as a support manager. I was never as truly content as i was when I was working with cows, or horses, or hay, or corn. I seemed to very happy when doing anything with agriculture, though despised industrial ag.
I ended up working for Walmart, climbing the corporate ladder as far as they would let someone as unconventional as me.
We moved to Whitewater Wisconsin sometime in 2000, the memory is a little hazy, and ended up in Fort Atkinson again, a house and few apartments later, and ended up divorcing in… well, I can’t remember, quite a few years ago. so anyway, here we are, mid adulthood, loving shenanigans and mischief but rarely participating in either.
