I finished my first week on the job. First, I showed up thinking I might need to get a haircut and trim the beard really short in order to fit in. It seems my fears were unjustified, I actually need some tattoos and piercings to fit in, even with the people my age.
The first two days I spent 1/2 the day working(in training mode) and the second half in orientation. The second evening we did an exercise where we put a check mark by phrases in a circle that we felt described us. Then we counted the check marks and they told us what color we are. Then they told us what each color of the circle was, and “told us about ourselves”, as well as a sheet that says “I am a *”. They are super into this because when I got back to my desk everyone asked “what color are you?” It seems I am a green surrounded by blues, though my secondary, 1 check mark lower, is blue. Only one other person in the company is a green primary blue secondary, an extremely quiet gentleman, and we hit it off instantaneously. He works on the other side of the building though. My supervisor thought we may get along quite well, she was correct. Back to colors:
Green, my primary- “Green is a lively color, and it symbolizes renewal and growth. It is the color you see the most in the natural environment. So it is the color of spring, when everything comes to life. And it depicts the period when everything is alive and unrolling its natural processes.
When you see something green you know it is alive, right? It also means balance, calm and harmony. So it is a great color to have around when you are trying to restart yourself after a hard day. It is the reason we feel so great when we are out in the open.”
Description to a T!
Describes me almost perfectly. Sometimes I wish the head would truly rule over the heart, but mainly because I probably wouldn’t feel as much pain as I have.
Yes, Yes, and more Yes!! Well, except attention is on the relationship, which may be where blue is primary and green is secondary. Definitely, give me time to think with no small talk. I’m not too much into details until I see what the big picture is. The communication is where the job really focuses, what to keep in mind when communicating I feel that I often frustrate people, but have never really understood why they are frustrated with me. The descriptions are accurate, but I have great difficulty in understanding if, and why, people get frustrated by these descriptions.
Yes, with no exceptions.
This seemed like only half the story for me, so, being super interested (due to the rarity of greens in the company), the instructor asked me about why I felt it was correct, or complete, and she described my secondary, blue.
Serenity
Blue is a color that suggests peace. It’s the color of the calm sea and the clear sky, both of which are linked to inner serenity, calm and clarity. Blue was also shown to slow heart rate and breathing, so it can be a good color to aid in meditation or relaxation.
Intelligence
Blue is associated with intelligence. It has been proven that different shades of blue can improve concentration, stimulate thinking and provide mental clarity. It also improves productivity. This is a good color for study and work, as it offers relaxation and stimulation at the same time. I told her this wasn’t a quality of mine, and I got a funny look and “I don’t know”. So we looked at blue in depth…
Now this is getting, combined with the green, more familiar.
Now this is more like it, except seeking recognition. Recognition brings an awkward attention and I prefer to work unnoticed behind the scenes.

Very true for me, except the first two tips for success, and frustration with avoidance of conflict (I avoid conflict almost at all costs) and (frustration of) being overly generous or sentimental.
Green does describe me almost exactly, but it’s incomplete, and the blue secondary makes the description mostly complete.
The other two colors are almost the exact opposite of me. This is an extremely broad version of INFJ, of me.
Thoughts? What color are you?
I will post the evaluation when I get a blank copy.
